Travel Tips for Icon of the Seas

DINING

Royal Caribbean haven’t yet revealed the full extent of the dazzling dining options we’re expecting Icon of the Seas to host. What we do know is that some Royal Caribbean favourites will feature. Currently, there are plans for a restaurant in the Aquadome, where you’ll be able to watch mesmerising dive displays while you eat. There will also be a dining area in the ship’s green and lush ‘Central Park’. Suite guests will be able to dine in two exclusive venues: The Grove and the Coastal Kitchen restaurant.

ENTERTAINMENT AND THINGS TO DO

Expect everything to be bigger and better on Icon of the Seas. Royal Caribbean is building its biggest ice arena for its skaters to dazzle you with jaw dropping performances. The Aquadome dive pool will hold daring dive displays and the rhythmic beats of The Hideaway beach club will bring Balearic vibes to Caribbean shores. Step onto Crown’s Edge to teeter on the edge of Icon of the Seas with the ship’s skywalk and obstacle course that will put your bravery to the test. For even more adrenaline rushes, Icon’s waterpark brings the first open-fall slide and first family raft slide to the seas.

CABIN TYPES

With over 28 different cabin types on board to choose from, Icon of the Seas will have accommodation options to suit everyone. The new ship introduces new cabin types, including the conveniently located Surfside Family View Cabins – right next to the Surfside water park and Family Infinite Oceanview Balconies with room for six guests. The new Infinite Family Townhouse will be the largest suite at sea and comes with features over three storeys that include a karaoke area, slide, two balconies and your own private entrance to Surfside.

IDEAL FOR

Icon of the Seas will be ideal for families looking for adventure, entertainment and plenty of pools. The world’s largest cruise ship will have family-friendly neighbourhoods, Swim and Tonic – the largest swim up bar at sea and the Hideaway, a place to chill and unwind. Thrill seekers will instantly be drawn to Icon’s Category 6 – the largest waterpark at sea which includes 6 new record breaking slides.

DESTINATIONS

in 2024, Icon of the Seas itinerary will include two main voyages. Sailing from her home port of Miami, Florida, she’ll undertake 7 day round trip cruises to the Caribbean Islands. Ports will include Royal Caribbean’s flagship destination – Coco Cay, as well as St Maarten, St Kitts & Nevis, St Thomas Island, Cozumel and Costa Maya.
