Sapphire Princess is one of only two Gem-class ships in the Princess cruise fleet, Sapphire Princess has many of the same features as the cruise line’s mega Grand-class ships with some special touches. At 116,000 tons and 951 feet, Sapphire Princess has a capacity of 2,670 passengers. She sails to Hawaii, the Mexican Riviera, Alaska, and the USA Pacific Coast.
Cabins
When sailing on the Sapphire Princess, passengers have a wide choice of a variety of cabin categories ranging from inside and outside cabins, balcony cabins to mini suites and suites. The cabin size varies between 16 and 123 m², so whoever and however you choose to holiday, there will definitely be space for everyone. More than half of all cabins have their own balcony, so you can expect an extra special level of comfort and immersion into the surroundings. Choose from several dining rooms, taste cuisines in the International Dining Room where you passengers can dine more traditionally, or visit one of the 24-hour restaurants such as the Pacific Moon, The Savoy or the Vivaldi Dining Room. To taste local cuisine and gourmet dishes, head to the Sabatinis. For the meat lovers, make sure to try the Sterling Steakhouse – or if you want to eat a little more informally, and would prefer to spend your time at the pool or on the deck, visit one of the smaller, more casual dining restaurants. These include the patisserie, the Prego Pizzeria and the Wine Caviar Bar. Coffee, tea, water and iced tea are always available for free in the buffet restaurant as well! If you’re looking for a drink in the evening, head to one of the bars make yourself comfortable with a cocktail and revel in the consistently excellent service!
Entertainment
Entertainment and fun is at the heart of this magnificent ship. Marvel at the professional artists and attend one of the performances in the Princess Theatre, enjoy a film in the cinema or try your luck with an evening at the Grand Casino. Watch a night club performance in the Explorers Lounge, Skywalkers Night Club and Club Fusion. For a more relaxed evening, enjoy a drink in one of the lounges or bars to revel in the end of the day. Don’t worry, children and teens won’t get bored, as there is an indoor and outdoor area of about 900 m² reserved just for them! Including a separate pool designed especially for younger children!
Wellness & Fitness
On board the Sapphire Princess, guests are not only able to relax fully, but also attend specialist lectures, art exhibitions and courses from experts. Whether you want to make some investments at the art auctions, browse the library undisturbed, do some laps around the track, test out the 9-hole golf course or the centre court. If you’re looking for some rejuvenation, head to the Lotus Spa where you will find a sports hall and fitness room to really exhaust yourself, or swim some laps in one of the pools. Dresscode
Light casual clothing is recommended on board, especially in warmer weather. More elegant clothing can be worn in the evening. Avoid swimwear and shorts, etc. in public spaces and in à la carte restaurants. Since all rooms are air-conditioned, slightly warmer clothing is recommended, especially in the evening. For possible shore excursions or visiting religious places, you should also think about appropriate clothing. For festive evenings in the à la carte restaurant, elegant or festive clothing is recommended.
Sapphire Princess Recreation
Whether you want to stay busy around the clock or spend your cruise holiday doing nothing at all, Princess cruises provide the perfect amount of recreation. The full fitness center features 35 cardio machines, 17 weight training stations, 12 stationary bicycles and a jogging track. If you’d rather break a sweat playing sports, there’s a sports court for ping-pong, tennis and basketball as well as a mini golf course for more laid back sporting. The full service salon and spa is the perfect place to unwind with some pampering. The ship’s five pools include a splash pool for kids and an adults-only fitness pool for swimming laps. There are four hot tubs.
The Internet Cafe onboard the Sapphire Princess is one of the most modern in the Princess cruise fleet with 29 computer stations and special laptop tables for wireless users. The onboard enrichment program, ScholarShip@Sea, features computer classes, ceramics, photography seminars, and educational lectures on a variety of topics. Live shows are featured every night in the Princess Theater, and the ship’s many bars and lounges host live music, comedians, and nightclub acts. Club Fusion is a modern, hip lounge with 42 high-def televisions, and the Skywalkers Nightclub is the place to for enlightening conversation and breathtaking panoramic views. Youth facilities include a video arcade and teen center.
